Putting a face to the name! This time at the beach was so fun because it gave me chance to get in front of the camera with taking some snaps. Things over here are certainly busy but it’s those moments of grounding that really keep me present with each moment.

So, if you’re reading this and you haven’t met me yet (virtually or IRL) - hi! I’m Matt & I’m a videographer based in Scotland. Currently teaching my wee boy the tricks of the trade as you can see on the third slide 😏

HELLO! Its been a good while since I’ve re-introduced myself on here! With lots of new friends following along I wanted to say hey and share some fun things about me:

🐣 My wonderful wife and I have one beautiful baby boy Shiloh, and are expecting again in late December!

🏡 I live in Fife, Scotland! We moved from Edinburgh a few weeks ago and love how accessible it is along with tonnes of beaches to visit.

🎥 I’ve been filming couples in Scotland for 3 years now and love every second of it.

✨I am most inspired by connection: whether it be through my work with wonderful couples tying the knot, quality time with friends, or re-connecting with myself through fitness and meditation

🧡 I do everything with heart, this shows in my work and also in the way we live: it’s not a typical family life both being self-employed film/photo, it’s where our hearts have taken us. And I love it!

I’m spending today editing a top secret elopement film that I had the pleasure of capturing in one of the most magical parts of Scotland. So excited to share this one once the newlyweds have shared their news!

I also can’t wait to be back on Skye in 4 days to capture some more people in love, it’s going to be amazing 🙌🏼 it’s all the more fun because we get to take our wee boy along for the ride too.

I’ve been reflecting on self employment recently and how it comes with so many ups and downs, but by far one of the best parts of running this business is the family time we get to spend together and the freedom we have to go on family adventures!

A city elopement is a beautiful way to celebrate love 🧡 E & T went to the city chambers to tie the knot with a very few family and friends, and then on to an art gallery and into the city, just the two of them! Such a beautiful day with some unique views.

We’ve had our fair share of trekking into the Highlands with a wee one year old this year, and it’s shown us that just like these two wonderful people, you can make it happen and it can be absolutely amazing (especially on your elopement day!)

Here’s to the adventurous couples who seek out the Scottish Highland experience in their own way… we’ve met so many of you lovely people and you’re all incredible. ❤️

Edinburgh never disappoints, especially during sunset. Always such a romantic place to elope!

I couldn’t help myself but look back on this amazing, crazy, beautiful day. If you and your partner are willing to embrace the weather changes in Scotland (like heavy rain even when it’s supposed to be sunny), and just roll with it, we’re going to get on very well together 😅 I took these photos as well as filming for the day. I’ve been shooting hybrid (both photo and video) for lots of sessions this year and I’m always open to it! 🏔

When we set out to the Scottish Highlands last weekend we were so excited for our Elopement styled shoots. The only question was, would the weather hold up? Out in Glencoe it’s so so changeable since it’s a valley and the wind, rain and storms pass through regularly especially this time of year! Safe to say we could NOT believe the blessing of a perfectly sunny day on Day 1, and then a little colder (and v windy) Day 2 with no rain. Can’t wait to share more from these amazing days

When a wedding is FULL of laughter, joy and beautiful views, it’s always one to remember 🧡 This wedding was set in some of the most amazing grounds at @carrickcastle and it was a privilege to capture these moments through film Congratulations S & E!

I love our sessions in natural landscapes, but there is also a real beauty to the city. Despite the noise all around, nothing is rushed, we just let the natural beauty of the moment flow. This post wedding session was a real treat, Ammal and Noah were dancing in the rain and making some amazing memories in Edinburgh ❤️

We spent the afternoon with one of the most excited babies I’ve seen! 😍Sometimes beaches can get so windy, but that seems to be part of the fun. We love seeing young families enjoying their first precious few months together. It’s so good to be posting from this beautiful family shoot @tamarhopephotography and I had the honour of doing a few days back in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh! What could be better than taking your family out to enjoy some quality time in an epic landscape? Capturing these adventurous moments and seeing the kids enjoy themselves to much makes Tamar and I so curious to see what Shiloh will be like when he’s a toddler - he’s already so adventurous haha. We’re really looking forward to our upcoming family sessions in Edinburgh, Highlands and all over the UK!

Mr and Mrs Morton 🎥 There are always lots of standout moments during a wedding day. Becca and Will's special day really highlights the joy in 'family'! The way two people come together in love to continue their journey as a three piece family is awesome. I also saw the way the friends and family looked on with love and support as these two started their new adventure, full of happiness and hope 🙌🏻 Set at the beautiful @moddershalloaks_weddings , this day full of laughter and happy tears has been a privilege to capture on film. Congratulations Becca and Will!

Spending time in Italy has been a dream, and nothing topped it off better than to make new friends 💜 Renee and Michael have their wedding coming up, and @tamarhopephotography and I got the privilege of capturing a pre-wedding shoot 🙌🏻 It was so cool to hang out together before we get to shoot their special day. There are so many amazing highlights to this wedding day: the couple, the destination (@theashesbarns), the super fun guests, the sweet time I had shooting and then editing to relive the moments... the list goes on 🙌🏻 What I do know is that this wedding will go down as a big moment for me. Not just because it was epic, but because it marks the start of an amazing journey (these are the first clients who booked us ageeees ago in advance, way before we even went full time!)
