Along with being an excellent guitarist, Tuff Lion is an accomplished songwriter, engineer, and musician. It is through the recording medium that the full scope of his talents blossom, revealing a solid knowledge of the art and science of recording musical ideas and performances. Higher Reason…
As promised… On Friday, Jan 26, 2024, the 12 Month plan will commence with the release of the first song of the year which will be followed in consistent succession by very well produced “Singles” that have been developed in recent workings within the music community of writers and producers that I have been closely associated with. For the sake of clarity and purpose, I make time to reveal the thrust and intent of the lyrical sentiments expressed in this song. “Higher Reason” is an anthem that speaks to and for the life of the artist or musician who is struggling to make any appreciable earning from the time and energy they invest into their expression. It details a missionary mindset of musical creators, individually and collectively. It lyrically advocates for a shift in the dynamic of the value the “industry” has placed upon artists and creators.
Musically speaking, the track is a gemstone from the crowns of it’s creators. Presented in the first degree by Keyboardist, Noizinflux, the track quickly progressed in development by the addition of guitar and percussion parts… the harmonic backgrounds arrived through the recording of the lead vocals… On to the X-factor presence of Bassist, Mony “MoBass” Lujan who also mixed and mastered the work. The musical components of the track are not to be compared but to be recognized, in context of the final production, which is richly orchestrated and thoroughly grounded in concept and ex*****on on all levels.
Most of us who “work” in our craft(s) independently are indeed motivated solely for the sense of fulfillment, but, there is a very real cost involved that should be considered when determining a base value for the resulting work. Knowing that there is a level of sustainability that many “signed” artists enjoy, there should also be a quantifiable financial level of return for “independent” artists and music creators.
There are things that are consumed daily, that are quickly disposable but many times, art, especially Music, remains in memory throughout our lifetimes. Its value actually increases over time, depending upon how deeply we become attached to the sound, the lyrics, the instruments and finally, the feeling(s). Collectively we can increase the possibility of success by directly putting One U.S. Dollar or equivalent into the flow of another’s life… Not as a gift, but for the product that they have created. When the total costs of everything are calculated, it is usually the artist/creator who is left to bear the weight of producing said art. Then to put that art into the world, only to have its value set and regulated by corporations is something that should not be tolerated, if based upon an ethical code of “fair trade”.

Message to Family & Friends As a follow up to a public declaration made just a few weeks ago on Instagram, I am submitting for Yur acceptance an un-promoted release of music that was test released as a lyric video on the “Nomotrouble123” Youtube video channel. I hope that this song will begin to introduce Yu, “my audience” to the level and quality of works that I am able to create/develop with the help of dear friends and musical comrades. I humbly offer this work as a pre-cursor to fulfilling my pledge to release a minimum of One well produced Song throughout the full of 2024. “Circles & Cycles” is a track that was initially created by keyboardist/producer Carl Blackmon of “Lift Up Records” and presented as a meditation for Man to vibe with. Over the course of recording the Guitar parts, the lyrics and melody appeared…. I just set up a mic and kept recording until complete. The track moved quickly through the stages of development by rounding out with amazing overdubs of the “live” Drum and Bass combo of Ken Force & Tony Fisher. A complete viewing of the video should result in a high level of agreement with what is being detailed over such a fantastic piece of Music. It may be difficult for many to overstand the levels of anguish and frustrations I have faced as a creator for these many years with regards to the diffusion of the tremendous body of works that I have actually created and have been a part of. I know that I have been been blessed with soooo much and it is from those blessings that I want to share for the sake of magnifying the Glory of the Divine Creator first and to introduce information, perspectives, good tidings and love to the inhabitants of the planet. I have accepted the responsibility of an Artist to engage in the constructive and positive aspects of the artistic medium that I have been directed to.
