Hi All, If any of you found my art page through a certain psoriasis group and haven’t seen any new psoriasis art published there from me this is the reason.
After some of my art started getting a huge response, I was contacted by an admin from the group explaining that I now had to ask permission from her before I published anymore art. She said it was due to giving a fair opportunity for other artists to show their work and I happily agreed. The other reason was I was getting a lot of commission requests and members wanting a link to my page. After this limitation was put on my art I requested again and again for permission to post my art. Sometimes it would take over a month to hear back from the admin and she would always say it wasn’t the right time. After I posted a song clip to the group, a song about my experience with psoriasis, my post was removed and I was blocked. I reached out to the admin in question asking why I was treated in this way, please understand I had been in this group for over a year and it was a safe community for me to be with those who understood my condition. She said that I hadn’t asked permission to post the art, I explained that I didn’t feel it was necessary as it wasn’t commissionable, wasn’t art but a song snippet and was purely written to bring happiness to those struggling. She said that she had told me the group was too busy and stood by the decision. I have joined other psoriasis groups who are supportive of my art and appreciate me. The majority of my art is unpaid, either to advertise commissions or to just draw what I love, I spend hours of my time for free just to bring smiles to the faces of those who suffer with psoriasis. Please treat each other with kindness.
Sending love 🌸
