So you want to be an audiobook listener, do you?

Worried that you won't be able to concentrate on the story? We've all been there - so we decided to put some helpful hints together on how to get started!

1. Start at 1.0x speed
I know this may seem silly to say but it's true! You see advanced listeners go between 1.5x-2.0x but trust us when we say, start slow. This allows you to adjust to the words being read. Some books are better slower.

2. Start listening while doing mundane tasks.
You know... Things that don't take too much concentration. Folding the laundry, doing the dishes, taking a walk. This allows you to focus on the story while your attention isn't being diverted to some

3. Use a reread
Is there a book you've been meaning to reread but haven't brought yourself to do so because of all the other books out there? This will also help get you started as your already familiar with the setting and don't have to try and pay attention to every little detail.

4. Not every day is an audio day.
Just as every day is not a reading day. Some days it's just not going to happen, and that's okay! If you find yourself struggling to focus, don't listen! And don't be upset. These days happen.
