Solent Wireless has been formed to promote local DAB digital radio services broadcast to the City of Portsmouth and surrounding area.

Solent Wireless transmits local DAB digital radio stations to the Portsmouth area as part of an Ofcom trial to test small scale DAB broadcasts.

You wait ages for a new station and then two turn up at once! Today we've added Angel Gold and Christmas Radio to our Portsmouth DAB+ multiplex. Angel Gold plays the golden music of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, while Christmas Radio plays non-stop Christmas hits.

We did it! We made the successful transition to our new frequency at 11:45 this morning. Please rescan your radio (if you haven't already) to continue listening to our services. And thank you for your support!

An update! Tomorrow (Wednesday 4th June) is when we should transition from our trial licence to our full-time licence.

Sometimes best laid plans... don't go to plan! Unfortunately we were let down by Arqiva today and have not transitioned to our new licence and frequency yet. When we have an update, we'll let you know.
