Our Story
I started this page for my love for black movies, sitcoms, shows and stageplays with an uplifting and inspirational message. And this is exactly what I want to keep it for. As some of you may now, I am a creative artist, in acting, poetry, spoken word and organizing my own poetry and theatre shows. I want to connect more with other black movie lovers that are passionate about acting, poetry, or any other form of creative performances. Being a black woman born in the Caribbean, living in The Netherlands I also deeply care for equal opportunities when it comes to more diversity in film and television. In every area of the media/business. In front, behind and on top of the business. Unfortunately, this is still something we have to stand and fight for. I believe that the best way to do that is by being the change we want to see.
I want to expand this platform and offer you more than movie tips and links. I will be offering more practical and educational creative workshops and meetings aswell. I want to offer you a place and opportunity to connect, brainstorm and work on your skills as a creative performer. I believe that if we want to see changes, we are the ones that has to step out and become the change we want to see.
