In case you missed my live chat with the wonderful Claire of @_mindblossom a couple of weeks ago, here it is again. This one is absolutely packed with really useful insights and wisdom about how, as introverts, we navigate Instagram, business and life :)
Claire talked about how misconceptions about what it means to be an introvert can so often hold us back and keep us stuck - and how she moved out of that herself.
We also talked about the addictive pull of Instagram and how introverts can create the boundaries we need to use the platform successfully.

Catching up on my Interviews with Introverts - here's my chat with @theasmartthenry from a couple of weeks ago.
Thea talked about how she felt nervous about doing video - but why she decided to do it anyway. I'm glad she did! Often video doesn't immediately feel like a natural place for us to be as introverts - but it's stepping through that initial discomfort that can make us realise that we can do it, and do it well. Thea also talked about how as an introvert she hasn't shouted about her business, and it's grown at its own pace. May also have something to do with the fact that she has a busy full-time job outside of the jewellery venture :)

💪💥Introvert SUPERPOWERS 💪💥
There are some qualities that most introverts share - but lots of us grew up thinking of them as weaknesses. And lots of us feel a bit uncomfortable on social media - feeling like it's not our natural habitat. However, if you tune into these qualities, you'll see that in lots of ways, introverts ARE actually in a great position to be successful on social media - just in a slightly different way to the way some people do it 😊

Whether you want to be more authoritative or more approachable on your videos, this trick (which isn't really a trick, it's just physiology) actually makes you speak in a different way - try it and see! I read about this in @carolinegoyder's excellent book Gravitas - lots of great advice in there.
If you want to speak more confidently on video, how you position your body is really important, and it's definitely still a learning curve for me but these kinds of things have really helped.

If we haven't met, I'm Kam-Mei.
✨ I’m a social media expert and a digital wellness devotee and am constantly looking at ways that we can make our relationship with tech a bit better.
✨ I offer social media coaching and training to small business owners and I've have come to realise that teaching the practical knowledge and techniques is just not enough to get your social media sparkling. Because the ‘mind stuff’ gets in the way. So I teach how to get it out of the way. As well as the practical stuff.
✨ I'm a happy introvert and have figured out my own way to make social media work for me - and love helping others do the same, especially fellow introverts whose social media blocks I can totally relate to 😊
✨ I also run social media and social advertising for ethical businesses and am lucky to work with several brilliant and lovely long-term clients

Do you REALLY get social?
There are a lot of businesses on social media who are 'doing social' but they're not really 'getting social'. To really get it, you've got to BE it :)
That's right, being social, as in meeting new people, chatting, having conversations and exchanging knowledge. It's very different to simply blasting your message out there - something that we've probably all done at some point, and which is easily done by organisations large and small.
