A Rastafarian expression meaning positive vibration; a term of pride and respect. In today’s dance music scene, labels come a dime a dozen. Setting itself apart from the pack, Yes I Records brings a conscious ethos to electronic dance music. Its mission: to use music as a form of therapy for the soul; releasing songs that will strike an emotional chord with the audience. Their aim is to provide li
steners with a healthy alternative; music with a positive message of love and respect. Based in Miami, the concept behind Yes I was conceived by friends Andrea Boccardi , Carlo Pozzali, and Ricardo Silva. Boccardi is a veteran producer, while Silva and Pozzali come from a successful sports media background. Named by Andrea, the term “Yes I” pays homage to Boccardi’s Rastafarian faith. Inspired by their mutual admiration for the beauty, strength and affection for women, Boccardi, Pozzali and Silva decided to create a label that would reflect this appreciation. “Music isn’t about money or fame, as many have come to believe. Rather, it is about vibrations that spread emotion, respect and love for what we hold true,” says the three partners. With projects in the works from the Italian EDM trio Faroutt, as well as vocalists Phyllisia, Tatiana Very and Bodine, Yes I will be spreading the positive vibes far and wide.
