Michaelians come back to their second home

Michaelians started their school year with a Student Orientation Program prepared by the St. Michael Academy Student Council that was held at the SMAM Multi-Purpose Hall last August 5.

On the very first day of classes, all students were greeted by the SMA Drum & Lyre Corp. on their arrival. With the Student Council Officers assigned on each floor, they welcomed each and every student guiding them to their designated rooms. When the bell rang, officially starting the classes, the teachers and students introduced themselves to get to know each other. Then, it was time for the Michaelians to go up to the Multi-Purpose Hall for the orientation program hosted by SMASC Head, Events Committee John Michael Catabay and SMASC P.R.O. Carlo Gabriel Muldong. The program was formally started by a prayer led by yours truly, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. Academic Support Administrator Mr. Mark Anthony L. Juan then gave his opening remarks and introduced the SMA Teaching Staff and Administrators.

Moreover, Audio-Video Presentations of organizations were played namely: DLC, Glee Club, Junior Glee Club, and The Michaelian. The AVP was followed by the rules and regulations video presented by the SMASC. Ms. Frances Dianne J. Castillo introduced the non-academic activities as well as the school calendar. It was then followed by the oath-taking of the new batch of SC Officers. The program ended by the singing of the St. Michael Hymn.

Today, we begin to celebrate your day of birth once again. Prayers and birthday wishes will escape our lips as your spirit dances to a heavenly song within our hearts. Although you aren't physically in our presence, your achievements, dedication, discipline and kindness are still embodied by the Michaelians and will forever be cherished.

Maligayang Araw ng Kalayaan! 🇵🇭

Sa araw na ito, alalahanin natin ang mga bayani na naghandog ng kanilang buhay para sa ating kalayaan. Ang kanilang tapang at pagmamahal sa bayan ay nagsilbing inspirasyon upang ipaglaban ang ating mga karapatan.

Sa ating pagdiriwang, sana’y patuloy nating isabuhay ang diwa ng pagkakaisa at malasakit sa isa’t isa. Harapin natin ang mga hamon ng kasalukuyan nang may tapang at determinasyon, dala ang mga aral ng nakaraan.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas at ang ating kalayaan! 🤍

Another fruitful year has passed by. The moments we created during the time we had together are slowly fading to become memories. ✨️

Congratulations, all graduates of St. Michael Academy!

Behind those sparkling smiles, is a hardworking soul in each—a soul that aims for the brightest dream out there. A soul that put its own blood, sweat and tears for this outcome. Now, as this year ends, all of you are turning the page to a new chapter of your life.

This shall not be the end. But rather, the end of a new beginning. Congratulations once again, Michaelians!

Today is another day of Holy Week, another one marked as the celebration of a story written between the pages of divine history. Good Friday, a time when we should all join hands—as the children of Christ—and embed our Lord and Savior's sacrifices into our hearts.

Good Friday, Holy Friday, Black Friday—this period of Holy Week has its many different names. But only one remains as the star of such a holiday. On one fateful Friday came the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And on that day, He sacrificed His very own life for the good of His people. Nailed on the cross, He stated, "God, forgive them." Our Savior remembered us while nearing His time of death. And now, we shall remember the sacrifices He made for us in return for His heroic deeds.

Let us all spend this day with repentance in our plans, love in our hearts, and spirituality in our soul. May the Almighty shower us all with blessings as we shower Him with our love and devotion!

Maundy Thursday, a day just as special as any day during this sacred Holy Week. Let us commemorate and remind ourselves of the blessed events that took place on this very day during our Creator's lifetime—the cleansing of our sins and the famous Last Supper. Remembering these, let us continue to give our hearts to the Lord and cherish the blessings that were brought upon each of our lives.

It pains us to share that we shall bid our farewells to the young and precious soul of one of our Grade 1 students, Jharyl M. Tapuz.

Sadly, the boy had taken his final breaths last March 15. He was a kind and unique child, and his memory will always be embedded in the hearts of many. Let us spend this day sending our dearest condolences to his friends, family, and relatives, as well as praying for his soul to finally get his well-deserved rest.

May he be wholeheartedly brought in to the pearly gates of Heaven and in to the arms of our Lord and Savior. Rest in paradise, to our newest angel, Jharyl.
