The problem solved: on release day, electronic music labels and artists need a simple single URL to share with fans, who listen to music on different platforms -- DJs buying on Beatport, casual fans listening on Spotify, etc.

Archive Access is a (free!) new upgrade helping boost our music labels passive income streams and further unlock the untapped potential of their back catalog.
With the click of a button, Archive Access gives music labels the power to grant DJs (temporary) full access to their entire catalog – so that DJ can make a mix for Spotify and Apple Music. A mix that earns money for the music label, the featured artists, and the DJ too.
In the past this required label owners constantly and manually micromanaging all their music, an annoying chore label owners struggle to make time for. Proton built a better way!

When we set out to build our promo pool platform, it needed to work on mobile without requiring an app -- but also be super fast for DJs going through piles of tracks.
We couldn't find a suitable web audio engine. So we built our own! And today we've open sourced it. 🙂
Beyond performance, our tech unlocks gapless audio playback within a browser: a requirement for getting DJ Mixes to work on Spotify and Apple. By going open source, we hope other streaming platforms can offer gapless playback, so DJ Mixes can further flourish!
