Learning a lot about this lately — I started tracking my time a few weeks ago and it's been eye-opening. I'm trying to be more intentional with these growth tasks, and doing the things that actually move the needle. My weeks quickly fill up with the business tasks and content: all maintenance. Still needs to be done, but won't actually get me any further.

🛑 STOP KEEPING YOUR IDEAS IN YOUR HEAD

Once I found a straightforward way to quickly write my ideas down so I don't have to get distracted from what I'm doing, I was able to be way more present, get more done, and not worry about forgetting things.

Our mind isn't made for remembering everything.
We have thousands of tools available to do it for us.
By using those, we can have more ideas & focus more on what's important.

The Lord's command from Genesis is to subdue the earth.
A recent podcast interpreted it as using the raw materials of the earth to bring pleasure to God through the work. I've been sitting on this for a few days, and determined that I've only ever thought of that as applicable to farmers or people who build houses and turn raw materials into livable spaces.
However, I realized that everything we have & know was at one point a raw material of the earth. A camera to shoot & computer to edit was once a material waiting to be made into something to bring God pleasure.
That begs the question:
What if we use those things for evil instead of good?
And the answer:
I think it's less about what we use, and more about what we do with it.
