Almost avoided Covid for 4 years, but it found me and kicked my butt this week.

I’m starting to feel better, but unfortunately I’m not on the Texas Stars road trip up in Manitoba to call the games this weekend.

We had a rare four-goal game last night, including the hat trick goal to tie the game late in regulation, and the game-winner in overtime.

Mavrik Bourque became just the second player in Texas Stars history to score four goals in a game, joining Brett Ritchie, who did it on April 4, 2014.

Per tradition, a heartfelt congratulations to the Vegas Golden Knights, Hershey Bears and Florida Everblades on winning the Stanley Cup, Calder Cup and Kelly Cup respectively. It’s so hard to win a championship and these three are all worthy champions.

Now hockey season is officially over, but October feels right around the corner. See you at the rink again in a few short months.
