The Role of a City Medical Examiner II (Salary Range: $189,527.00 – $238,942.00)

As a City Medical Examiner II, you will be responsible for conducting confidential investigations into deaths reported to the OCME. You will work independently, using your expertise and judgment to analyze evidence and determine the cause and manner of death. You will also supervise the work of City Medical Examiners I and report your findings to proper official agencies as required by law.

Qualifications for City Medical Examiner II

To be considered for this role, you must have:

A minimum of two years of ACGME-accredited residency in anatomic pathology or three years of ACGME-accredited residency in anatomic and clinical pathology
Evidence of having performed at least 30 autopsies.
A valid license to practice medicine in the State of New York

Additional Qualification Requirements for Assignment Level II

To be eligible for Assignment Level II, you must meet one of the following requirements:

Be certified in forensic pathology by the American Board of Pathology and possess either:

o Evidence of having performed at least 200 autopsies.

o One year of satisfactory performance at Assignment Level I

Be board certified by the American Board of Pathology in a subspecialty of anatomic or clinical pathology or be American Board of Medical Specialties board certified in another medical/clinical specialty applicable to the practice of forensic medicine.

Tenure Track Professor in the School of Nursing

The Indiana State University is seeking a well-qualified, collaborative, and diverse faculty member to join our team in the School of Nursing. Responsibilities
This is a 10-month regular faculty appointment with candidates eligible for the rank of assistant professor. Faculty will teach primarily in the online graduate nursing concentrations, but may teach in other tracks dependent upon School of Nursing needs. The faculty is expected to participate in scholarly activities and service to Indiana State University, the College, School of Nursing, and the profession. Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

The Health Sciences Department in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) seeks a full-time Associate Professor or Clinical Associate Professor/Program Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program to begin Fall of 2024. This is a 12-month non-tenure track position. Primary duties will include:

Teaching, advising and administrative responsibilities that will vary and be contingent on programmatic needs.
Evaluating students' progress in coursework and clinical experience.
Demonstrating scholarly productivity through grants and publications in refereed journals and attendance at professional conferences and meetings.
Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the curriculum yearly.
Planning new program offerings and course assignments to faculty.
Collaborating with public health partners and staff so the presence of students and their activities are supportive of the agency/organization goals and needs.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and weekend courses. A reduced load (2-2) is provided to allow the new hire to conduct duties of program director and in growing the program. Effective leadership for the program is required.

This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate must hold a certification/unencumbered license as a physical therapist in the state of Texas and an academic doctoral degree in physical therapy or related field. Candidate must have at least six years of experience in higher education with a minimum of three years' experience as a core faculty of a CAPTE- accredited entry level physical therapy program. We desire candidates who: (a) previous history as a DPT program director (b) have a strong record publication in peer-reviewed journals, (c) leadership in professional organizations at the local, state, or national level (d) have a strong desire to work with first-generation students, (e) and have the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen our undergraduate program.
