MJM191: Orange Feel EP by

The Orange Feel EP is basically a very hot summer day depicted in music. Dweller explains the title as, "Orange Feel (orange peel) had a nice ring to it, and all the tracks in their own way make me "feel" summer (warm orange light), the bright mornings right through to the high temperature nights, it's all there."

3 out of 4 tracks feature live guitar and bass, all played by Dweller himself, aside from the bassline on 'In The Morning', played by R. Rollinson. There are also some live synth layers and cuts in places.

The EP is largely created on the MPC2500 with some heavily cut breaks and chopped up sunshine, rich instrumentation and unique structuring. Orange Feel gives constant nods to Dweller's musical inspirations and pays homage to the summer times of previous years.

MJM189: - Beautiful Memories EP

"Beautiful Memories" is built on a succession of melancholy piano chords, a comforting saxophone and a warm bass-drum mix.
John Linhart, producer of the "HoodyBoi" project, wrote the track as a tribute to his grandmother Susanna Linhart, a British painter who passed away in 2021.

John's inspiration for this project came from the nostalgia he felt from Susanna's paintings of scenery around the house where she lived. Paintings that John used to create the Beautiful Memories EP cover, and for the two singles 'The Bush & 'Hang On'.

We found this to be such a touching story and feel honoured to share this beautiful project with you all. Enjoy!!

Y'all still with us? Just a cheeky teaser to say that the 'On The Radar' beat series is still going strong. For any new listeners and followers, we've been doing a world beat series where each volume focuses on producers from a certain country. So far we've made 'Project Canada', 'Made In Germany', 'Pardon My French' and more recently 'Full English', which still has some tapes left.

We've got at least two volumes (5&6) lined up. The next one to drop in the coming months has another killer line up of beat makers from Greece. Release date is yet to be confirmed. In the meantime we're also compiling some sounds from Japan. Yup, we're all excited!!

Jazz Jousters Single #12 - Jazz Motion by

Here's our 12th single to come out of the Jazz Jousters collective, but this time we have a debut feature from the very eclectic Athens based producer Melorman, alongside Guitarist Elias Charis.

The two of them came with a real catchy upbeat Jazz Funk breakbeat piece that really hits the soul and gets you moving.

Melorman was originally approached to feature on our 'On The Radar' series for the upcoming volume #5 that focuses on producers in and from Greece. While we went back and forth in conversation, Melorman presented 'Jazz Motion', which he describes as "a really special tune I recorded live with an exceptional artist and guitarist Elias Charis". After listening to the track, it was a no-brainer!!
