History has its eyes on you, Mr. President. Class act.

My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year. Democrats — it’s time to come together and beat Trump. Let’s do this.

I remember sitting in Washington Square Park with the late, great David Graeber in early 2012 as he explained to me the mechanics of the Rolling Jubilee, Occupy Wall Street’s first debt buy.

I could never have imagined that 12 years later RIP Medical Debt - an outgrowth of that effort - would have partnered with an actual U.S state to use federal relief funds to eliminate distressed medical debt for a MILLION people. Incredible.

The power of an idea whose time has come. 👊

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs announced a partnership with RIP Medical Debt to forgive medical debt for those earning under 400% of the federal poverty line.
