This will be the last Sakura 🌸 place for this year. I have some I didn't share but they can wait till next season! Hirosaki castle in Aomori is in the top 100 places in Japan. I knew without a doubt I'd make it up here. Did I do a 9 hour drive. Yes it was well worth it even in rain.

Probably the most scenic location for Sakura 🌸 and Mt. Fuji 🏔 is Oshino Hakkai its a beautiful little place where you can view Mt fuji from many locations. Make sure to arrive early!!

I'm tearing up as I write this, I've been extremely lucky to have the luxury of going to see Mt. Fuji anytime I wanted. We would have days where we fight on if you'd appear and sometimes you wouldn't but other times I'd be blessed with your presence. It's calm and peaceful to go and watch the sunrise as you paint beautiful colors of pink across the snow on the top. Thank you for reminding us beauty exists.

Miyajima in spring was a bucketlist and it did not disappoint. 🌸 Many people only do a day trip but I suggest staying overnight. Around 6pm it gets quiet and you can enjoy the sunset with a nice drink. In the early mornings, few people are around and you can walk the streets with no crowds, and enjoy everything the island has to offer before the 9am crowds appear.
