Happy Easter! Snow will be flying later this week! Not sure how far south yet… but after some heavy rain the coastal takes over and changes a majority of the north east to heavy snow.
Will keep monitoring!
JackuWeather provides his accurate weather predictions to his fan base. Meteorology is his passion, and he likes to inform citizens of major winter storms!
I will provide as many updates as I can, while also trying to give an educational side to my forecasts. The majority of my posts will be about upcoming winter events. However, I will not give every day forecasts. Feel free to ask all the questions you want. Enjoy!!

Some pretty cold air for mid-late march next week! Temps in the lower 40’s. The snow is going to be for the fish; timing just isn’t right!
Euro trying for a big snowstorm march 19-20th; I see you euro! 👀👀
It’s possible! Going to be a very cold stretch of march coming up. But as I said before, to get widespread snow in march, need a perfect setup. We may just get one! Will keep monitoring!
I don’t anticipate any snow south of Pa/NY border, unless in the high mountains of northern Pa
But it was fun getting all the anti snow people fired up 😆🙂
Watching March 10th very closely… I warned of the possibility! 👀
Takes a near perfect setup in March but the threat is there!
The warmer weather is here! Unless there is a freak march blizzard in 2 weeks, winter should be done
It appears the storm threat on Friday will be weak and light rain. All the moving pieces just don’t appear to be lining up to produce. But, will continue to monitor as we know how great the models have been..
As we move forward, yesterday could have been the last threat of snow. It’s about to get very warm here at the end of February into march. The question remains do we get 1-2 more cold shots to push and get that miracle march snow? Time will tell!
Wow what a crazy thing happened! A freak snow band popped over blandon/fleetwood and ran straight east into central NJ. 8-12”!!!!!!!
Overall forecast was pretty on target except that super heavy band that appeared!
Still watching 2/22-2/24!
Snow will set in later tonight!
Overall I agree with the GFS. Most of the models show a very similar solution. Enjoy the snow!
Still watching 2/22-2/24!

I am told I am slacking on the weather updates so I figured it’s time for an update! Haha
Still looking very similar to the update the other day. 2-4” south of I-80, the closer you move to PA/MD border 3-6”. Going to be a faster moving quick hitter late Friday night!
Still watching for a big storm around 2/22-2/24
Stay tuned!
Right on cue, another snow event Friday night and Saturday morning!
This one will not be like the past storm. Colder air is around so it will be fluffy snow! It appears the PA/MD/WV border is the zone for the heaviest. I like 2-4” south of I-80. It’s possible 3-6” along the PA border
I am watching day 10 very closely. I fully expect this time period has the chance to produce the big one! Every strong El Niño winter in history had a major east coast snowstorm. 2023-2024 winter has not had that yet. Time will tell!
Stay tuned!
Snow will continue to wind down from west to east! All areas in PA should be done by noon!
Overall, pretty good forecast! I knew the models were way too far north 2-3 days ago. Had to adjust as we went, but the heaviest shifted 150 miles south from where the models had it 2 days ago!!! This is why you cannot model hug and you have to use them as tools. The “professionals” should all be fired
Enjoy the snow! Still watching next weekend - as you can see, it can be showing nothing and then all the sudden a storm creeps up on us!
Please post snow totals in the comments! Have a great day!
LATE NIGHT UPDATE:
This is the last update till the snow sets in! I fully expect this to be pretty close. Latest short range HRRR model
4-8” in the purple area is a good bet. If you zoom in you can see county lines. It will start as brief rain in many areas. Change over around 3-6am!
Enjoy the quick moving snowstorm!

UPDATE
Latest short range model! Models continue to push SE today. Philly is now in the game for possible major snows. Forecasts are gonna bust big time!
You cannot go against these trends when it is every single model. Professionals need to suck up their pride and adjust all forecasts SE!!
About 12 hours till snow starts in some areas. Some areas will start as rain!
Stay tuned!
Map: courtesy of weatherbell analytics
St college area may be on bust watch! Will continue to monitor
Models are lowering to 3-6”; which was once 8-12” or more
EPA is set to get hammered! Especially Berks - LHV and points NE of there. Loving the 5-8”/6-10” call now!
MORNING UPDATE:
Wow did the models shift south!!! Back to what i was originally posting a few days ago. This shift this late in the game, is unreal!
Below is the latest gfs run (ON LEFT) courteousy of weatherbell analytics. Every model has shifted the axis of heavy snow well south to EPA. I had to wait to see if the trend was real; we still have today for some changes but I expect noting major
THE RIGHT, is the model run from 18 hours ago; wow! The euro is an even bigger change
Stay tuned!
EVENING UPDATE:
Models have now started a trend back to the south. I’m holding off on getting too excited; I’ll wait till late tonight/early tomorrow morning to make any adjustments!
Let’s just say they were significantly south at the 18z run. Heaviest snows creep closer to LHV/Berks county, back to central pa and into NEPA. Also gets SEPA in the mix
The big difference is the models are killing off the primary low faster, thus allowing our coastal low to take over quicker. This pushes the track a little bit east and allows the colder air to crash quicker.
I will continue to monitor and keep everyone updated!
North of I-76 looks good for snow right now. It gets really tricky again around sepa into south central pa. Northern pa out to state college is going to get thumped! Probably a good foot of snow across northern pa into southern New England
All areas will start as rain except northern PA. Change over will occur late Monday night. Expect sleet to mix in southern areas. Expected totals as of now:
Reading: 2-5”
Limerick: 1-3”
Lancaster: trace-2”
Harrisburg: 1-3”
Lehigh Valley: 4-8”
Scranton: 8-12”
St college: 8-12”
Looking ahead, watching a bigger storm around next weekend! Better chance for the southern half of these areas to get into the action! This one is a close call!!
Weather models are all over the place today as expected! Whenever we get to 3 days out they go crazy
We have a camp that shifted south today and a camp that shifted north. I expect the solution in the middle, which is what they converged on yesterday. Pretty much how every storm goes!
Will continue to monitor! Expect swings and forecasts all over the place. All the amounts I put out yesterday are where I still stand!
Update: models continue to show a major snowstorm over much of PA into southern New England on Tuesday!
The track of the low will continue to waffle around a little bit but they are narrowing in. I fully expect many areas to start as light rain late Monday night but quickly go over to snow as it cranks. Right now, I’m leaning toward a fairly large area of 5-8” throughout pa; especially around Berks county/limerick and points N/NW. central pa and northern Eastern PA are in a great spot! Allentown also in a great spot!
There is potentiall for totals closer to a foot but not 100% sure where that lines up, could be closer to New England
Will zero in on snowfall expectations as we get closer! Stay tuned!
Still tracking the early next week storm! Models will continue to waffle around but a major threat of snow for almost everyone N of PA/MD border!
It will likely start as rain in many locations, going over to heavy snow. The question is how far south does the heaviest snow get!
Still watching the Tuesday storm on models! Nothing has changed; big potential for a storm across PA into New England! Lots of model swings the next few days so not getting into the specifics yet!
Major cold comes behind that storm as well. This won’t be the last snow threat! I expect winter to go till around March 10th
Watching a storm for next Tuesday!
Starting to think all these years, they’ve had it backwards. Phil is going to be wrong once again!
Winter comes roaring back in 7-10 days; will last into march. It’s possible we see a severe cold outbreak as well!
Enjoy the break!
Latest models have shifted the snow to the north a little bit; shouldn’t see much south of northern PA.
This week we start to move back towards a colder and snowier pattern. Feb is looking to be very interesting this year!
A weird storm system is coming Sunday morning/afternoon! It’s possible higher elevation areas change over to heavy snow. Eastern PA is up in the air around reading and Allentown. Possible those areas change over, but north of I-78 is a good bet!
Will continue to monitor!
ROADS ARE TERRIBLE! DO NOT DRIVE!
I tried to go to my oil change appointment and had to turn around within a mile. I also saw 2 accidents in that mile. The roads are ice!!!
Snow will move in between 3-6am! Majority of PA is 1-4” with the 3-6” area in SEPA, down to the Delaware border, and into the southern NJ area
This type of system is super hard to predict. There will be a thin heavy snow band and wherever that sets up those areas will see the 3-6/4-8”. Surrounding areas will be 1-3”. The further north the lower the snow; northern PA will likely be around 1”.
Snows last into the afternoon. Enjoy!
Evening Update: Winter weather advisories have started to go out! Overall, majority of PA is in for 2-4” of snow. The tricky part of the forecast is SEPA, from Berks County down to Philly and SENJ; a possible “norlun trough” will setup causing a small area of fairly heavy snow. If this occurs, there will be an area of 4-8”
I expect this storm to overperform and snow totals to increase from many outlets as we get closer! Starts tomorrow night and ends Friday during the day. Temps are very cold so expect high ratio fluffy snow. Doesn’t take much to get a few inches
Next week, we will thaw out from this massive Arctic outbreak period we had. Winter will return in 7-10 days. Feb is going to be loaded; prepare now!
Snow is ripping out there! Enjoy!!
