Today on Film Festival Guide, its a bumper crop show, with two amazing guests. I speak to Matt Vella who is an international award-winning filmmaker, comedian, podcaster & entertainer from Blacktown, Western Sydney. His new short Film 'She's Not Your Type' has just been released to the public. I also speak to Alyssa Dimarucut who is an emerging filmmaker passionate about telling Asian female-led stories. Currently in her graduation year at the Australian Film Television School (AFTRS). She is currently creating a pilot episode for a series she is writing and directing called, Bad Asians. She has also has a short documentary called “Little Cambodia” streaming on SBS OnDemand.

Tomorrow brings a new episode of Film Festival Guide, This month I speak to director, producer, cinematographer and editor Joe Hunting of We Met In Virtual Reality, about creating a film in Virtual Reality, self identification in VR, as well as asking the question of whether we could see more films set completely in VR. I also speak to Ruby Challenger about her new film Mum Life, which screened at Cannes and Sydney Film Festival, we talk about the process of creating the film, and her experience as a first timer at Cannes and graduating with a Masters degree.
