Shugyō: A life of Budo
Budo is balance.
Originally from Utah, Rachelle Lawrence finds equilibrium between her passions: writing, Budo and family.
A practitioner of Toyama Ryu Iaido Kai, she had the opportunity to live in Japan and live in first person the terrible Tohoku earthquake, but her love for the culture and people of Japan, and the values learned in Budo moved her to join volunteer group that helped to rebuild the city and the Tohoku area.
