Our Story

Started with $5 and a dream in 2013 and expanded to include our global Black American Moguls Magazine, Black American Moguls Atlanta, Black American Moguls DC-Maryland-Virginia & Black American Moguls Magazine New Orleans. We launched a digital magazine to control the Black American narrative. Our voices, culturally strong, economically poised to be a force for prosperity and political leverage. Starting with taking back our images, our stories, and our right minds. Since we are not a monlithic people, we bring in a mixture of thought leaders, business minds, political perspectives. Even perspectives that go against the grain. Our magazine lends to a narrative that shows the community in our excellence. Too many other publications and internet sites spend time focused on the lower side of ourselves. Or fail to highlight those lesser known small businesses, homebased companies that are doing incredible things in our community. Using the power of media, we give you those images of Entrepreneurs and Moguls to show you that you too also can achieve your dreams in spite of racism, sexism, homophobia, zenophobia, sexism, and denial-ism. Our publication is about defying the odds, even when the deck is stacked against you. And we depend on readers like you to subscribe, to read, to share, to support what we do.
