I knew Poilievre back in 2008.
Can't say I've seen much change in him over the years.
Since becoming leader he has consistently refused to visit First Nation communities in the north.
But he makes sure to bring the donuts for the conspiracy blockaders.

after twenty years of impressive aggressive face offs with The Man in Ottawa, one rugged reformed anarchist turned democratic socialist is laying the groundwork for his exit… stage left.

Charlie Angus, longtime Canadian Member of Parliament for the enormous federal riding of Timmins-James Bay in Northern Ontario, diehard New Democrat, and musician in the band Grievous Angels, joins us today for a candid career retrospective.

brother Charlie's Canadian federal riding is unique, in that it is very Indigenous, very vast and resource rich, very working class, and was once dominated by wee little coal mining towns like the one the Angus family calls home: Cobalt.

dive in to our conversation with the Honourable Charlie Angus, the punk rock politician Jack Layton recruited, now:

To write this book I had to shut myself up and work in solitude, frantically typing and conducting interviews, which was a grind. Today I popped into the Bookmark in Halifax and they have a big display. A happy day for me!

Plan ahead for this weekend.
Knowing how to ID an OD and carrying a naloxone kit with you could save a life. Get your free naloxone kit from a pharmacy near you before you head out.

List of pharmacies can be found here: www.ontario.ca/page/where-get-free-naloxone-kit

we miss you, Jack.

Surprising no one who has ever been pregnant, scientists have found that growing a human being from scratch makes your body “older.” A landmark new study suggests that a single pregnancy can add between two to 14 months to your biological age—and multiple pregnancies can have a cumulative effect. https://on.natgeo.com/3xwATOO

Panel one: done ✅
Before the “beginning” there was nothing. Well, not “nothing” as we know it. There was something. But it was a mystery. We can’t quite comprehend it because so much of what we know now is materialistic. I imagine the great mystery - this deep, infinite expanse of spirit- and it gives me chills down my spine. In a good way, I guess. In a way it reminds me of how short our time is here, individually, compared to how vast and incomprehensible time as a whole is. There is so much to our Creation Stories that it can be hard to know where to “start”. I thought long and hard about when my visual story should start- but the idea of beginnings contradicts the belief system that time is cyclical, neverending and non-linear. None of our Nish stories are linear. They rely on context, connection, and *moments*. So I guess I had to pick a moment to share. Not as a beginning. But as a significant moment that provides insight into our Anishinaabek identity. This painting, which sits in the East, honours Waynaboozhoo and Maiingan and their role as brothers who travelled the Earth to give everything a name. I have more to this story, but captions are short. I’ve been writing my thoughts as I paint and I can’t wait to share it all ❤️
