o house, fu**ed up boogie, disco gems & post-punk dance weirdo hits can call home. The name is inspired by the legendary Chicago club night The Muzic Box, hosted by DJ Ron Hardy. Hardy's complete disregard for musical barriers, mixing up European electronic music with disco resulted in the birth of a whole new genre: House. As a tribute to the pioneer of this new style, The Muzik Box label aims to create a creative meeting point where producers get a chance to really let loose. The Muzik Box have pulled together a great mix of high profile modern house & disco producers, most of them using different monikers in order to maintain their complete artistic freedom. Unshackled from the constraints of their acclaimed projects, the magic came easily. The idea was to send out a bunch of crazy good 80's/90's house/weirdo-disco tracks to inspire the producers to capture that vibe and bring it forward into the sound of today's underground dance scene. Spanning from house to leftfield disco and beyond and with a string of red-hot dancefloor smashes in the pipeline, The Muzik Box is ready to roll.
