Few fields in human engineering and innovation have enjoyed such rapid progress as that of aviation and aerospace. It has been almost 110 years since our first awkward, yet liberating ascent into the blue in a heavier-than-air contraption. Fast-forward to the present, and one can only marvel at the many milestones that humankind has crossed in our quest to master the skies. It is, however, worth noting that two tragic global conflicts helped spur this progress. We at CADMUS seek to share the stories surrounding this progress, both then and now. The magazine contains anything from the obscure goings-on behind famous historical events, to informational articles about civilian and military aircraft, whether they are in service, development or conceptualization (We will attempt to provide as many details as legally possible regarding sensitive topics,) to interviews with some influential personalities in aerospace, and stories covering the current direction of aerospace defense across the globe, to name a few.
