When we filmed in this hotel, the room was so high up that we couldn’t rig lights or diffusion outside the window. So we improved and used the curtain to diffuse the light. Having the window face away from direct sunlight helps too. Add in a practical light for a good ambient light and a soft fill light and there you have it - simple and quick lighting setup for a hotel room.
