The 501st Legion Star Garrison will be at Hill Country Comicon!

Star Garrison represents Texas within the 501st Legion. The 501st Legion (aka Vader’s Fist) is a worldwide Star Wars fan club celebrating the Star Wars universe using costumes and props, in particular those of the Stormtrooper characters, Imperial forces, and other various “bad guy” characters. The Legion is a volunteer club formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion’s aims are to celebrate the Star Wars movies through the wearing of costumes, to promote the quality and improvement of costumes and props, and most importantly, to contribute to the local community through charity and volunteer work.
Star Garrison works to participate in the community for the benefit of the children. Whether it is visiting local children’s hospitals, participating in benefits that support children, or just having fun at conventions, our desire to bring the joy of the Star Wars universe we had growing up to the children of this generation.

Star is a petite, friendly Filipina cosplayer and model based in DFW who loves to cosplay as Wonder Woman and Pink Ranger from MMPR. Growing up on a South Pacific island, she loves portraying one of her most requested characters; the island girl, Moana. Besides from becoming the live version of the characters she followed on TV, her favorite part of cosplaying is interacting with kids. She began her cosplaying endeavor as Sailor Moon in 2016 with a costume she bought online and she quickly became hooked and began making her own costumes. For 5 years, she has been cosplaying DC and Marvel superheroes, and even experimented some gender-bender costumes. She also has love for Anime as reflected in her interpretations of characters of Dragon Ball to Death Note to video game characters. Outside cosplay, Star’s passion is traveling, dancing, and feeding homeless people.

Although he began cosplaying in 2013 his passion for the art of cosplay didn’t truly began until, 2015 when a friend infected him with her unquenchable passion and sent him hurtling down his present path.
