Two off-duty police officers were shot dead in separate incidents in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, on Sunday, 11 June. Both incidents occurred on Sunday evening. A 36-year-old Sergeant based at the Elsies River Police Station was gunned down in Site C, Khayelitsha, at approximately 17:30.
