O Mosquito Publishers started among the New York City Portuguese American community as an heir of the mid 20th century childrens'-juvenile magazine "O Mosquito" (The Mosquito), aimed at the Portuguese American and Portuguese British communities. It is now extending its market not only to the French Portuguese community (and to the French language) and to the Spanish Portuguese community (and to th

e Spanish language), and to Erasmus students in Portugal who wish to take with themselves a cultural souvenir from the country which they can show to their English, French or Spanish speaking friends back home. Buys are ordered by the email given here and the book is sent by email or mail if the customer insists on a physical book, and the payment is sent only after the book is received by the customer, given to an account number given on the email. Buys by Erasmus students can be made by email or, if living in Barcelos or Braga, by presential meeting with a representative agreed upon by email, also no payment before there the book is given in person.
