Brookshire Grocery Co. recently escorted 24 veterans on the 20th Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods Heroes Flight to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials built in their honor. Brookshire's provided the all-expense-paid trip to honor our veterans for their service and sacrifices.

In addition to veterans from World War II and the Korean War, this flight included veterans who served during the Vietnam War, Gulf War, War in Afghanistan and War in Iraq. The oldest veteran on the trip was a World War II veteran at 99 years old; the youngest was an Afghanistan-Iraq veteran at 36 years old.
