♬ ROCK TRIVIA ♬
The Temptations hit "My Girl" was written by Smokey Robinson and Ronald White, who were both members of The Miracles. Robinson wrote the lyrics - he was married at the time to his first wife, Claudette (they were wed from 1957 till 1986), but Smokey said that the song is not about a specific girl, but "written with all the women in the world in mind." It was written in the Apollo Theater when The Temptations were playing as part of a package tour with The Miracles. According to Robinson, he was working out the song on a piano at the theater when his bandmate Ronald White joined him and they hashed out the song. When The Temptations heard it, they convinced Robinson to let them record it instead of The Miracles. Robinson, who was Berry Gordy's right-hand man at Motown agreed, and rehearsed the song with The Tempts over the next week. When they returned to Detroit, Robinson and White produced the session on December 21, 1964 when they recorded this song.

♬ ROCK TRIVIA ♬
"Cool the Engines" is a song written by Tom Scholz, Brad Delp and Fran Sheehan that was originally released on Boston's 1986 album Third Stage. In the US it was also released as a 12" promotional single backed with another song from Third Stage, "The Launch," and as the B-side to the third commercially released single from the album, "Can'tcha Say (You Believe in Me)/Still in Love." It reached #4 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Blllboard also rated it as the #25 Top Rock Track of 1987. It was also included on Boston's 1997 compilation album Greatest Hits. The meaning of the lyrics is open to interpretation. It can be interpreted as a plea against nuclear proliferation or to calm down in a tense situation. In the liner notes to Third Stage, Scholz described the song as "a rocket ride at red line. 'If we don't take it easy now, we can kiss it all goodbye.'"

♬ ROCK TRIVIA ♬
The song title "Highway to Hell" is often attributed as a phrase AC/DC guitarist Angus Young used to describe touring in America. There is a much more literal explanation, however. "Highway to Hell" was the nickname for the Canning Highway in Australia. It runs from where lead singer Bon Scott lived in Fremantle and ends at a pub/bar called The Raffles, which was a big rock 'n roll drinking hole in the '70s. As Canning Highway gets close to the pub, it dips down into a steep decline: "No stop signs... speed limits... nobody gonna slow me down." "Highway to Hell" was the first AC/DC song to chart in the US. It helped drive huge sales for the Highway To Hell album, which has sold over seven million copies in America. It was AC/DC's sixth album, and their last with vocalist Bon Scott, who died in 1980 from excessive drinking. Their next album, Back In Black, was dedicated to him.
