Bear Creek to Lester Rd and looping back is thrilling with the single track around Pearrygin Lake. Riding dirt on road bikes, such as the @opencycle U.P and U.P(P.E.R), is fun. As the summer draws to a close, cooler temperatures have settled into the valley and skies are clear. #bikehugger #opencycle #pearryginlake #methowtrails.

Real Smoke from Trek Project ONE.
Our East Coast editor David Schloss just had knee surgery and is recovering with a bike Cannondale sent him plus a helmet. Here's a short about both.
Guess I'm keeping the fatbike in rotation for another week or so.
The GoreWear Distance Kit was announced this morning. I was in San Diego last week with the GoreWear team for a presentation about the new jersey and updated bib shorts. Then we went for a ride. The silky soft, breathable kit is designed and refined for your longest rides. It's available in men and womens sizing and 4 colors. Visit @gorewear to learn more.
That's right. I got the shot with @intrinsicdesignjn. #bikehugger #fatbikesnow #methowfatbike #methowtrails #methowvalley #bigbucklake

Rode to the homestead, above the lake, and then warmed up at the cabin by the fire. Methow Fatbike.
First fatbike ride of the season.
Another week of perfect hair.
Trail Cam
Fitting that the last day of summer ends on fire. Wildfire smoke engulfed me like a fog bank. Here I am on the trail cam heading back to the cabin. Luckily, where I ride, there are plenty of places to turn off the ridge and the flames are in the Pasaytens northwest of me. The white in the background of the video is the cloud lifting up from the valley.
I've been waiting two and 1/2 years for the Hayes Brakes T4 upgrade. It was well worth the wait. Here I am bedding the brakes. There isn't a parking lot nearby, so I did it in the meadow 5x. The trail cam video shows the first. Then, I bombed down to the lake and got them red hot. Thanks Methow Cycle & Sport.
