The new Buzz Lightyear movie – which sees Chris Evans assuming the role of the young astronaut that would spawn an action figure made famous in the Toy Story movies – has been banned in multiple countries all because of a gay kiss!?!
The now famous Lightyear kissing scene, which sees a space ranger named Alisha locking lips with her partner, has meant that the film won't be released in the Middle East, as well as many predominantly Muslim nations.
This isn't the only example of a Disney movie – or other non-Disney movies, as you'll find out in the video – being banned because of LGBTQ+ representation, or even intimacy. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Eternals, Black Panther and even Onward have all sadly drawn the ire of censorship.
