For realistic and inspired, yet a bit insane, reasons the two of us have spent the bulk of our adult lives in that state of mind and locale the world calls Hollywood. It’s a place full of creative people, sunshine, wild ideas, loves found, and dreams realized. Also, it can and will drive you crazy for more reasons than we have time to complain about. A huge frustration of being in that system is t

hat is you always seem to be asking permission. Also, in this DYI age, that can been seen as a weak sauce kinda complaint. However, if you’re in the system and hoping to support yourself while paying off your film school loans you’re always asking permission no matter how talented or lucky you are. Right or wrong, that’s our take away when it comes to Hollywood. Hearing “No” isn’t healthy for the creative spirit. You begin to question your worth as an artist, especially if you had a taste of success. So the second incarnation of Antix Press is not about getting permission. It’s about completing and getting “it” into the world. You can find out about the first incarnation of Antix Press through the old articles we posted. We’re not hiding anything about those days. We learned a lot living them. We’re no longer just a comic book publisher. Why don’t we change the name to reflect the new attitude? Because we need to be reminded of the days when we had to ask for permission. Today, Antix Press is showcase for us. A lot of it will be DYI, that’s where our creative processes are now. We not saying “Nada” to bigger and more expensive things. We’re just done with our ideas collecting dust. Thanks for checking us out. And THANK YOU for coming back more than once! Sadly, the time has come to wrap up our X-Mania theme, and I saved my personal favorite X-Men cover art for the end. As a kid, this was the piece that took my breath away and my favorite version of the X-Men as drawn by the great Dave Cockrum and the always awesome Terry Austin.

After seeing the film "Mildred Pierce," Cain sent Joan Crawford a signed first edition of the novel. The inscription read: "To Joan Crawford, who brought Mildred Pierce to life just as I had always hoped she would be, and who has my lifelong gratitude.
