So life update…

It’s my third week back at work in my new role as Vice President of Marketing. I had to travel to Philly for a summit and leave the baby at home with her daddy. I am definitely suffering from separation anxiety but, my husband is doing a wonderful job keeping me posted minute by minute.

I am not going to lie I wasn’t expecting to travel so much right out the gate but, I looked in the mirror this morning and said Kayla would be proud of me.

I just want to thank my best friend for those prayer cards! I take them with me everywhere. They are always the reminder that I need.

Balancing all of this is hard but, it’s totally the life I always prayed for. God continues to show out when it comes to me.

I hope you all are having a great week and getting what you need to live a full life!

As the year wraps up all I can do is be thankful. I went through a lot getting pregnant. I pushed through, I prayed, and I was patience.

My husband was there for me every step of the way. We are a dynamic duo. When we put of heads together we can accomplish anything. By the way…I was the issue not him so that’s even harder to deal with. With some medicine we were able to conceive naturally.

Some people think I am “extra” those people have no idea what I’ve been through. They have no idea how hard I work. They have no idea what I sacrificed.

So as one of my favs said…IT’S A ME YEAR. If my light shining to bright is to much for you, just look away…because I am just getting started.

Sometimes you just gotta say, “Thank You Jesus!”

I grew up as they would say “outside” I had real friends, we played in the street…as we became teenagers we took the bus and moved around outside. We lived life in the flesh. Today many young people use social media as a façade to create the life they wished they lived and that makes me sad.

Yesterday I started my day with my BFF and we went to the concert.

We checked a huge thing off our bucket list. As some of you know we had a radio show together and we always said we would go see Chris Brown together. Yesterday we made that happen. If you know Jen and myself our energy is a vibe. It’s like we were born to be friends!

Jen had been at a concert earlier in the week and when we went to park the attendant remember Jen and let us park for free. Then, we sat down to get some food the gentleman messed up my order so he gave us an extra slice. These random two kids ask to sit on the bench opposite. We said yes of course. I offered them the extra slice…of course they took it. The one notice my supreme shirt and of course he instantly thought I was cool. Their friends all joined them and we left them the table but, I remember praying for days like this.

I enjoy maturing and becoming the cool older person with the drip. It filled my heart to see it’s still some kids moving around outside. And it made my heart explode to share those memories with my BFF.

In pre-marriage counseling they tell you look at marriage like winning any major league sport championship.

Take advice from the people that have won the championship over and over again and are still in the league. Kobe inspired LeBron, Steph inspired Ja Morant. Ja hasn’t won the championship yet but, he is on the way. He would be the guy getting ready to propose. Kobe, LeBron, and Step are the happily married men giving the gems of the game.

You have to put the time in enough into the life you want to live as a married couple. If you water your grass I promise it will grow. It’s not easy but, it is worth the work.

As a groom Sharrod really out did himself. The ex*****on of this surprise proposal was A1. Bravo 👏🏾

In a day in age where marriage seems non existent, it makes my heart full that love still conquers all.

It’s always been my mission to highlight the hometown heroes and empower our community to strive for greatness. You can be an Amanda Gorman reciting your poetry at the inauguration of the first black Vice President or a @drdrnatasha saving lives everyday. Whatever you do make an impact on the world.
