An idea for a cosmic solstice mechanism resets the sun for the coming year. Generated from a surreal sunset photo taken a few evenings ago.

Happy Solstice! What better than a kaleidoscope made from a photo of the setting sun shining through Stonehenge? Check my Instagram page if you want the added music by Rùnfell. 🌅
Really pleased that the purple lupin kaleidoscope mandalas look fantastic on a number of products.
They also tile seamlessly so make really interesting patterns on larger fabrics like blankets and shower curtains.
These all originate from photos of lupins which I took in a local park. Walking mindfully in nature can be productive as well as restorative!

WIP - Working on some seamless tile patterns. It's amazing how adjusting the colours, curves, and levels can influence the design. Darks and lights can be hidden or brought to either add detail or make the design cleaner.
Any suggestions for pc video editors which have smooth transitions like this?

Variations on a Fractal
Day 29 - Reel - March Meet the Maker 2021 challenge
[nb- FB has cropped it a bit]
These are snapshots of the same fractal design on it's journey through the rendering (drawing) process; which can last up to day for hi-res, complex designs.
It morphs from a sketchy, lacy beginning through to a solid-looking object. During this time, it's fun to play with the colours, textures, lighting, and backgrounds.
Do you prefer any of the early versions to the latter?
