The Kirkham Report presents Flashback Traxx - October 12 2023

Welcome to my latest show, Flashback Traxx - The TKR Chart Year By Year, Week By Week! Each week I'll give you a chronological rundown of the songs I have placed at #1 on my chart each year since 1970. We'll pick up the on the full TKR chart when we get to 1978, but at the time I made my charts, I went back and picked #1 songs for every week starting in January 1970!
As the 80s moved forward, my tastes adjusted themselves - a lot of songs that didn't quite hit the top of the chart nationally but had pretty good showings hit #1 on my chart, and of course, there's always the songs I loved that hit #1 that did virtually nothing nationally, but at least two of those songs may be familar if you were a fan of TV series "Fame" or "Knots Landing", heh heh. And also I had the first TV theme to hit #1 in quite a while this year as well. It's a fun year...and by this point, I was fully into developing my format, out of school and working on my musical education - it's the musical time capsule that was 1983!

Welcome to the TKR RadioRetro Countdown! Each week we do a countdown of the hits for a random top 40 radio station around the world for dates between 1970-2010!
This week, the Wayback Countdown Machine heads to the southern Eastern Seaboard, with it's warm waters, and tourist areas, although at the time this survey was done, i don't think it had yet become the tourist mecca it is today - we're heading to Anderson, South Carolina, and the top 40 songs on WANS-AM 1280 for the week of November 30 1975!
