Marj hooning it up in the DMax with caravan in tow.
Can't go through without visiting the Saddler. Fantastic history set around the late George Woolnough and Peter Allen. 🎼
A day trip from GinGin into Mt Perry found us some interesting sights and discoveries.
Having a break from the coastline, we headed into the Pioneer Valley inland from Mackay. Finch Hatton showgrounds was our home for 4 nights giving us enough time to explore the Eungella NP. With waterfalls, lookouts, short walks and platypus spotting we were kept busy.
Babinda Boulders, a must do if ever in the region. Great for a lunch stop, a swim or a short walk. Marj even spotted an elusive Cassowary. Ps pick up a pie at the Babinda Bakery. Yummo 🥧
Just a lazy day at Kurrimine Beach. FNQ.
The spectacular Josephine Falls, FNQ.
Once a thrill seeker, always a thrill seeker. 🤣🏄♂️
Crystal Cascades just out of Cairns, forgot my board shorts... Bugger.
Mossman Gorge, been raining for over 2 weeks.
5 nights spent at Cooktown. Ripping little town with so much history in and around. Waterfalls aplenty, lookouts and some fantastic eateries.
Just a leisurely day trip up to Cape Tribulation. Beautiful drive through the rainforest with a couple of stops along the way.
We left the arid dry lands of outback QLD and headed toward the coast unaware of the region named 'Atherton Tablelands'. God's country! Marj loves it here.
From the rolling green hills, the waterfalls, beautiful drives through rainforest and the roadside fruit and vege stalls. I think she wants to relocate here!
Leaving Karumba we drove a short distance to Normanton where we boarded the Gulflander for a 5 hour train ride to Croydon, staying at the Club Hotel for the night and then the return ride the next day. Info brochures describe the trip, 'from nowhere to nowhere'.
I lost count of how many times I said 'sand island, sunset and cruise in this vid. 🏝🌅🛳
