Our core focus remains to showcase success stories and celebrate the beauty and development in Ajegunle. This we would bring to life at The Ajegunle Awards & Our Story. People would get to be encouraged in this crowd gathering and engaging event. All the hit makers that have strive before the age of social media to create what we now refer to as the music industry.
The Ajegunle Awards & Our Story is a project that is beyond just showcasing talents of the old and new but also exposes the multifarious culture, ethnicity and people of Ajegunle that has played a major role in the development of the entertainment industry, from music, football, movies among others. This project would influence public involvement as well as National Development and also aid CSR in the development of Ajegunle, and at the same time motivate the average youth in Ajegunle to shun crime and societal ills.
This is a forum where we can celebrate our own Olajumoke who’s story is almost similar to that of young David in the Bible who woke one morning as a shepherded boy only to end the day as the anointed king of Israel!. She is now a brand ambassador for Payporte, she scores other modeling deals with fashion brands like Salma Guzel followed. She has also been interviewed on CNN, and has become the most googled person in Nigeria. This is a platform where she can speak to inspire the other youth in Ajegunle. That is the spirit of the project.
DANIEL NKEMELU is another source of inspiration to AJEGUNLE. He was born and bred in Ajegunle, Lagos. He graduated as the best student in the school with a 7.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average out of a maximum of 7.0. This has been the best in Nigeria so far. He said Growing was fun because we had formal education at school, informal education at home and ‘street education’ on the streets. Come and listen to his full success story on that day.
Another Inspiring Story of UNILAG First Class Graduate, Negedu Sunday Who Spent 12 years At Home before gaining his admission into university. Negedu Sunday graduated with a first class from the Department of Biochemistry, University of Lagos, with 4.70 CGPA in the 2013/2014 academic session. He is now an assistant Lecturer in Unilag. His Success Story will as well be an inspiration Live on that day of our event.
