Julius Gunn - My N***a
Imagine a world where people were comfortable breathing the same air together. Where they didn't have to "fake it to make it".
Imagine a world where you were the solution instead of the problem.
I see a world where we look out for each other first. It only takes one hand. If I hold your hand and you hold another we will both have you in common.
Imagine a world where you were enough.
I can't change the world, neither can you. But we can change ourselves.
I have been called some pretty harsh things. I have seen lifelong friends of people I love disappear because they felt that I was "A cult leader" or my favorite "Elitist".
"I have a dream" isn't reserved for civil rights leaders.
I have a dream where people who didn't like you still take the time to understand you.
I have a dream where people face their fears instead of running from them.
I have a dream where we all see ourselves and our lived experiences as moldable and adaptable byproducts of this beautiful experience called life.
Today I invite you to set a new standard for yourself as I have,
I invite you to have a dream. To live a little, to wear more comfortable clothing, I invite you to give yourself permission to not care so much about every little thing and instead place mankind at the forefront of your passions.
I invite you to join me in doing something radicle and stop pretending my acts of love towards my aggressor's amount to nothing.
Because you and I both know that, in our darkest chapter, at our lowest point, it was someone's act of love that pulled us through.
I have a dream where that matters.
