Our two games, Pawn of the Dead and Omniscient God, are nominees for Kristal Piksel 2023 Awards!

While Pawn of the Dead was released for PC and iOS before the submission deadline of Kristal Piksel 2021, the Nintendo Switch port by Forever Entertainment was released afterwards. Hence, it could be a nominated for Best Console Game this year, not the year when it won Best Modern Adaptation award.

Omniscient God is a short game initially developed for Epic MegaJam 2023. A walking simulator/adventure game that focuses on a sci-fi/horror story. Nominated for Best Narrative.

These games are nominated alongside successful titles from other Turkish studios. Great to see how the Turkish indie game scene prospers.

Omniscient God is a short freeware sci-fi/horror game.

You wake up from a deep slumber in an abandoned tomb. Lingers with you a voice within your very mind. Aionix, she calls Herself, an entity no longer worshipped by man. Will you obey Her?

It was initially made for Epic MegaJam 2023, then re-released with voice acting and audio engineering.

Pawn of the Dead will be on sale during the Steam Remote Play Fest, Feb 12-19 2024. Visual improvements and minor bug fixes have been made during the preparation for the festival.

A demo that you can play our procedural level mode will be ready this week, as well.

Happy New Year!

Aslan couldn't reach the targeted milestone this year, to be honest and transparent. I'd wish to have opened the Steam page of an exciting game, at least.

But I'm still glad that I am able to pursue this passionate ambition in health. It matters most for me.

We are shelving Presence, the one we were making this year, and start a new game project.

Presence would be a game that you could talk (with your own voice) with randomized spirits powered by ChatGPT. The system did really work.

But at some point, we needed to discard ChatGPT (or any other LLMs). Well, it was possible to create dialogues for spirits with pre-determined questions and answers, but the game became rather bland without its USP.

It's necessary not to fall in love with your projects and know when to shelve.

About our new project (a multiplayer horror game), I'll start sharing content once it reaches a mature phase.

New horror game from Ahmet Kamil Keleş is released: Jeremiah's Mirror. It's available for free for computers, iOS and Android.

Jeremiah's Mirror is a short psychological horror adventure game about a man with a split personality. Touching the mirror in the attic changes your personality to a demonic one. Your purpose sounds simple: You need to call your ex-wife to say you love her, but it won't be that easy.

There are 4 endings. Will you be able to discover all of them?

The game isn't realtime 3D, it uses pre-rendered visuals. So that you get the visual quality of the screenshots even in older computers and the download size is low (27 MB for WebGL).

I have sad news for you.

I have to discontinue Aslan Game Studio’s works for an indefinite period. The work on House of Mannequins is stopped, as well.

It was one of my biggest dreams to build my own game studio. I caught my dreams, I made one of the dreams come true by developing and publishing Pawn of the Dead. But I lost my motivation to continue Aslan Game Studio, the commercial failure of Pawn of the Dead is the greatest reasons.

Will I quit game development? No. I am open for game programming job offers.

Pawn of the Dead will still be released for iOS, Android (Amazon Appstore) and Switch. Thanks to everyone who supported me during my journey.

News from Pawn of the Dead's mobile version:

I decided to self-publish, instead of working with a publisher. Pawn of the Dead will be released for iOS first, then for Android (Amazon Appstore).

I am unable give a definite date for release for now.

Our main project is still House of Mannequins, I'll work on Pawn of the Dead's mobile version on my time when I don't work on HoM.

There isn't much left for the iOS beta test, though, only adding ads/IAPs and making the UI more iOS friendly.

I switched the game back to B&W, because people said that it looked scarier that way, which was my focus. Fog effect is added, as well.

Here is a video from the current version of House of Mannequins. In this game, you need to avoid murderous mannequins that can move only when you don't see them.

The game is still at the vertical slice phase. There will be random level generation and puzzles to be solved in future. Currently, we designed a static house in which the player needs to find a key to escape from the house.

We plan to release the game on 2023.
