Costa Rica 🇨🇷 is where it’s at!

Next week, I’ll be partaking in an adventurous trip in Central Costa Rica discovering nature🌋, wild life 🦥 and small boutique hotels 🌺. If your adventurous soul has been nudging to do something different than the typical beach vacay, follow along my adventure 🥾.

Took a break from the tropics and beaches 🏝️ to explore some beautiful sights in Alberta 🇨🇦

Here’s my 3 day/long weekend Banff mini travel guide 👇🏼

🏡 If you want to be away from the crowds and save a little 💰, stay in Canmore. (It’s about 25 km away from Banff) Many affordable Airbnb’s with amazing views and amenities! We had an Airbnb at Blackstone Lodge and it was perfect for our party of 5!

Day 1: (arrival/travel day) walk the town of Canmore and enjoy the sights. There are many restaurants and shops to explore. We had a few cocktails and dinner at Rose & Crown. Many other options to choose from walking distance.

Day2:
🚌 If you don’t want to drive, the Roam Transit bus is a good option. $25/person for a day pass that will bring you from Canmore to Banff, Lake Louise, Lake Morraine and area.

🚠 Banff gondola will give you some pretty amazing sights. You also have the option to hike to the top and take the gondola back down. Enjoy a cocktail at the Sky lounge then grab a fresh coffee or hot chocolate to keep you warm on the ride back down.

🛍️ Take the Roam transit back to the downtown area and shop your ❤️ out. Many shops & restaurants to spend the rest of your day.

Day 3:

💙 Lake Louise is a beautiful place to spend a little bit of time in the morning. It has amazing sceneries but is extremely crowded. If the weather permits, take a canoe on the lake. You can also hike the trail that surrounds it 🚶

🚘 Road trip through Icefields Parkway. The sights you’ll see are like out of a post card. There are many spots to stop and mesmerize in the beauty that surrounds you. From snow covered top mountains to waterfalls, lakes, wildlife and glaciers, it’s an absolute postcard scenery 🏔️

🍷 Enjoy a quiet dinner at your Airbnb. Most have hot tubs and fireplaces to relax and take in all that your eyes will have experienced during the day 📷

Day 4: If your time allows, experience the area’s hot springs or hike a new mountain trail before your departure ✈️

Alberta 🇨🇦 is a must on any nature lover’s travel bucket list!

Mexico in the summer, Mexico in the winter…Mexico is always a good idea.

Buuutt….Riviera Maya (specifically Akumal, but shhhhh, I didn’t tell you) 🇲🇽 in the summer is absolutely breathtaking because of the peacefulness you’ll find around. ❤️

Lower season means less people on the beach. I’ve been trying to take a solo pic on this tree for the past year +, but the beach was always swarmed with people. (Don’t get me wrong that’s not a bad thing, it means the area is booming and it’s a gorgeous hot spot for vacationing).

Places to stay: I suggest staying close to Central Park, just away from Times Square to avoid the noise and still enjoy walking distance to many attractions.
