Rapture Radio was ‘born’ at two minutes past midnight on 1st December 2006. Originally under the name of Hiscoming Ministries Radio, it was shortened to Rapture Radio about a year later. We were breaking new ground, Internet radio streaming was very new back then and there were hardly any Christian Radio streams available. We did not have any experience in this field and had to learn as we went al
ong. We were actually contacted by another quite famous ministry for advice in setting up their own radio stream. God continued to use Rapture Radio and under His leading, were able to improve the broadcasts significantly as we tried out new software, new streaming computers and forever updating the way we worked. Today, we use professional broadcasting software and we are still learning just how powerful this software is and what it is capable of. We are indebted to New Christian Music which sadly is no more since the home call of it’s founder Paul Davis. In the early years of Rapture Radio, NCM supplied us with a monthly promo disc of new releases in Christian Music which we were free to broadcast. We are now a recognised licensed Radio Station and try to broadcast Christian music to appeal to many tastes. We also broadcast Biblical sermons by Pastor Keith and others that are recorded live at The Southend Full Gospel Church in Essex UK. We firmly believe in the soon coming rapture of the true Church of Jesus Christ, when Jesus Himself will come in the clouds and all true saints will be caught up to meet Him and go to their eternal home prepared in heaven. It is with this glorious event in mind that we broadcast the true gospel message and challenge our listeners to be ready to meet Jesus. We trust that you will enjoy listening to Rapture Radio. We praise God for his goodness in allowing such as us to share in His end time ministry Thank you Jesus! But we realise that we can only continue as He allows us to. This is not ‘my’ ministry. It’s not a ministry belonging to ‘our Church fellowship’ It’s our Lord’s ministry and He can bless it or remove it as He sees fit. Without Him, we can do nothing! (John 15:5)
Yes, we have come a long way since that FIVE-FOUR-THREE-TWO-ONE countdown back in 2006 (I still have the soundtrack of the launch, on file) and as He enables and supplies our needs, we will continue until the trumpet sounds, and the archangel’s voice is heard, and we are caught up to meet Him! Praise His wonderful name!
