Shortly after Lt. Gen. Jody Daniels assumed the roles of Chief of the Army Reserve and Commanding General of U.S. Army Reserve Command, and retired Army Col. John McCarthy, her husband, became the senior spouse in 2020, they each talked to Reserve + National Guard about what they hoped to achieve in their new positions.

Army Marketing is seeking female TPU Soldiers in STEM and/or skill trade MOSs (mechanical, automotive, electrical, carpentry, etc.) and their dads/stepdads/father figures for a production in early December, showcasing our female Soldiers as they lead their “dads” through traditionally male-dominated DIY projects and tasks around the house.
All backgrounds and ethnicities are welcome.
All ranks may apply, but E1-E5 is preferred.
Applicants should be green on metrics, free of flags, have command support, and be good representatives of the USAR.

This program has been so successful for the Army Reserve that it has been expanded to the Army National Guard.

“I want to tell everybody that [this program] isn’t a joke; it’s not too good to be true, it’s actually free daycare for those who need it,” a soldier from Kansas said.
