Finally have had time to distill our thoughts on Shambhala Music Festival ... So many words. Cyn from .media has provided us with these incredible photos and her personal review:

"Shambhala gave me the reset I was looking for and restored the magic i once experienced from my first camping festivals. It’s funny looking back to the event that was the catalyst to my life doing a 180 and grateful that after many years or wishing I could visit that I finally made it to the farm...

Going alone didn’t feel at all lonely, everyone exuded welcoming and loving energy. Everyone was approachable and willing to connect. We never experienced any pushing or shoving when walking through crowds and everyone was respectful when trying to get through.

The line to get in was 12 hours. We were in line from 10:40 pm Wednesday and didn’t get wristbands until 11 am Thursday. If it were a bit less crowded things would have gone more smoothly. The festival was very hot and windy so wearing a mask was crucial, or you could get “shambalung".

There were 6 impressive stages: The Pagoda, the living room, fractal forest, the village, AMP, and the grove . all stages were close in proximity which allows you to catch half of someone’s set and then another set within the same hour. pagoda stage had magnificent visuals that were projected onto a large house shaped structure with lasers scattered all around. The village stage had a geodesic structure that encompassed a chandelier- like roof and had balcony access on each side for an entirely different perspective- bass in your face never lacked there.

Shambhala offered free harm reduction resources and Drug Testing on site. The sanctuary was right next to the medical tent and they also offered a naloxone training that came with a free kit. There were lots of day time activities such as yoga, dancing, twerking, plate spinning and body painting workshops. food vendors offered plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. the bathrooms were always kept clean inside the festival. Some were even decorated with lights, funny pictures and inspiring quotes. The river was a beautiful sight but the water was very cold."
