Sometimes you want to go back to before the rempod. Sometimes you want to cosplay Myrtle Snow.
We could have gotten a rempod through the usual channels but this item popped up at a local and well-loved shop called @love_of_fuzz which my other half @ryanfulldarkmusic is extremely familiar with.
Our new weird item is a Theremin Etherwave and while it requires a few more pieces than a smaller and portable proximity sensor, this solid wood electrical chaos maker and original eerie Hollywood tone creator is not something I could just say “nah maybe next time” to. 😬
And it can be used different ways, the pitch and volume and potential alterations and attachments make us very, very excited. 👀 👻 🎶

I think this mansion is haunted in some way, or at least can interact or echo back, because between this, a few more EVPs and some Estes Method sessions, we all walked away with subjective interpretations of some strangeness.
The responses through the Estes method were some of the most hilarious and then the most poignant, honestly.

Burn Brae Mansion in the Catskills is one for the books with the incredible stories and incredible EVPs on the third floor. 👀
Can’t recommend it enough even if you’re staying for one night and to explore some entire falls and trails during the day. Also, find me another haunted mansion with a giant pool! Hauntingly fun bed and breakfast, and you can rent the entire place out too. 🤘🏼👻

There were things happening all night that left us confused.
Sighted, lights, sounds and of course the lengthy EVP sessions trying to figure out how much of the *screaming* had vocal tone, and how much was the machine.
And I do think there’s something to the EVP sessions, especially on listening back and my brain recognizing vocalization in the recordings. Something was recorded in those spaces that should have been silent, and as skeptical of the DR60 and any of these possibilities as I am - weirdness was captured.
More: the volume dial not being in the “correct” position for the first few sessions means it’s harder to take those into consideration, but that doesn’t stop the succession of strange audio captures over several tests and all the times we’ve used it just the same since then. And no screaming.
𝓘 𝓭𝓸𝓷’𝓽 𝓴𝓷𝓸𝔀 can be uncomfortable to land on but you know what? It’s where I land, and I’m very comfy there.✌🏼 You watch the whole episode, listen, and decide for yourself. That’s what we love to let you do and if you don’t know either, GOOD. Relax there.
