Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has declared a statewide dusk to dawn curfew (10pm-6am), beginning today. The Governor said the decision was taken after a meeting of the state security council following security reports of impending security breaches in the State.

The Governor said vehicular and human movement in all the twenty-three local government areas of the State is prohibited till further notice. He urged residents of Rivers State to be vigilant and report any suspicious movements to security agencies.
