The Spring 2022 Littleton Police Citizens Academy will begin Thursday, March 10. The academy is a series of classes designed to give community members a peek into the inner workings of the Littleton Police Department. A diverse selection of topics is covered in an effort to give attendees an idea of what, why, and how the police operate.

Each topic is taught by Littleton Police Officers or civilian staff members, each an expert in their field. Each instructor describes the functions of their position and is available to answer questions. Some of the classes also include practical exercises.

Participation in demonstrations and exercises is voluntary.

Reserve a spot by submitting an application by tomorrow, Friday, February 25. For more information contact Sergeant Steve Skundberg at 303-795-3846.

Trailhead Community is trying to build something unique in Littleton for adults with developmental disabilities. This race raises funds to support its vision. There's still time to sign up if you want to support this worthy cause and burn some calories.🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The Trailhead Community vision-

"At Trailhead Community (formerly known as Stepping Stone Communities), our mission is creating and designing an
extraordinary opportunity for people to come together in an integrated and intentional apartment community.
Our first project is an 80 unit apartment complex where 50% of the units are allocated for adults with developmental
disabilities, 25% for working professionals/millennials, and 25% for active seniors. The building will include state-of-the-art technology and “Universal Design” features to promote independence and safety for all residents. A cooperative
management model will integrate all three tenant groups together to make decisions about how their community will
operate! We will have on-site concierge staff to provide 24/7 oversite for the building, social events, meal preparation
and encourage mutual exchange and support between tenants. The complex will have many unique and intentional
features to promote community including a sports court, sound-proof multimedia room for music, large-screen viewing
and mini jam sessions, a community kitchen and common dining room serving optional meals daily, and large common
areas both indoors and outdoors!"

Always a sad day for the Littleton community.

We Are...

A community that will never forget our beloved thirteen. Cassie Bernall. Steven Curnow. Corey DePooter. Kelly Fleming. Matthew Kechter. Daniel Ma**er. Daniel Rohrbough. Dave Sanders. Rachel Scott. Isaiah Shoels. John Tomlin. Lauren Townsend. Kyle Velasquez.

We Are...

A Rebel family—current students, alumni, and community members—who are not only committed to a Day of Service, but a lifetime of service. In celebration of community. To honor the past and the memories of those we lost, look towards the future, and show the world that it is possible to build back stronger than before.

A little bit of snow today doesn’t change all of that. There is too much strength, too much resiliency, and too much love for that. We are Columbine Rebels for life, and nothing can ever take that away. Today, we celebrate the strength of community and the power of love. We remember the lives lost. We reflect on the lives forever changed. We recommit to our communities and to kindness.

We love you Columbine!

WE ARE COLUMBINE!
