I was ten years old in school and all of a sudden, the intercom goes off calling each student out one by one to report to the front lobby to get picked up from school. All of us start laughing and trying to guess who will be called next. Eventually, my 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Jordan, explain to us that there has been an attack evil people on our country. Then the classroom got really quiet. The facial expressions around the room started to change. A few moments later my name gets called. I grab my stuff and head to the front lobby only to find my mom standing there with my little brother. She didn’t say anything, she just grabbed my hand and took us to the car. On our way home I asked her “what’s wrong?” She tells me that evil people hijacked a plane and crashed them into buildings. As soon as I got home, I saw it. You saw it. We all saw it. Never forget...never forget that Freedom (Ελευθερία) is not natural but it’s artificial. Chaos and tyranny is natural. Freedom takes blood, shed, and tears AND a never-ending hold on it. Never lose sight of the light and liberty. Thank you to all of the men and women who have and still are responding to this tragic event. God Bless America.
