2024 OHIOANA BOOK FESTIVAL: My thanks to Ohioana Library Association Columbus Metropolitan Library and The Book Loft of German Village for having Vilnius Oorte and me for the 2024 Ohioana Book Festival. The staff did an amazing job with everything, from parking to catering! My team and I had a fantastic day promoting “Too Scary to Read Alone” and “Crime Cats.” It was my first event in a few years and I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

“Crime Cats” author, Wolfgang Parker, will be part of a panel on middle grade horror, Thursday, April 11, from 7:00-8:00 pm, the chapter for Central and Southern Ohio will be hosting a special virtual panel in partnership with the 2024 Ohioana Book Festival!

The panel will be moderated by Kathryn Powers—featuring four talented authors and illustrators: Vilnius Oorte & Wolfgang Parker, Natalie D. Richards, and Erik Jon Slangerup!

From outdoor adventures to things that go bump in the night, these authors’ books keep readers on the edge of their seats - and eagerly turning pages! We’ll learn all about how these talented authors and illustrators craft their exciting middle grade novels.

Event Details:

NEW BOOK: I’ll be signing copies of my new book, “Too Scary to Read Alone” at 2024 Ohioana Book Festival, April 20, 2024, at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, alongside illustrator Vilnius Oorte. The festival is free. The new book is $9.99. It will be my fourth book and fist horror title. It’s a collection of five short original horror stories for middle grade readers, clocking in at just over 200 pages.

I will, of course, have the Crime Cats books on hand, as always. See you there!
