PLEASE BRING YOUR PETS INSIDE & ANY STRAY YOU MAY SEE PLEASE GIVE THEM SHELTER. TEMP REAL FEEL IS SUPPOSED TO DROP TO -11 WITH 50 MPH WINDS. FENCES WILL GO DOWN. DO NOT ASSUME A SCARED DOG KNOWS ITS WAY HOME IN THESE CONDITIONS. EVEN DOGS BRED FOR COLD TEMPERATURES WILL BE AT INCREASED RISK OF FREEZING. NO ONE WANTS TO BE OUT IN -11 WEATHER TRYING TO SAVE YOUR CAT PR DOG FROM FREEZING TO DEATH SO PLEASE BE RESPONSIBLE. ..BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM MST SATURDAY... ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 11 PM MST SATURDAY...
* WHAT...For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches in the valleys with 5 to 10 in the mountains. Winds gusting as 35 to 50 mph through Saturday morning. For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches in the valleys with 5 to 10 inches in the mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southwest Idaho.
* WHEN...For the Blizzard Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Saturday. For the Winter Storm Warning, from 5 AM to 11 PM MST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A break in the snow is possible Friday night before more snow arrives on Saturday. Winds will decrease Friday night, but moderate to heavy snow on Saturday will continue to make travel difficult across the region. Those with travel plans this weekend should pay close attention to the forecast and consider not traveling if possible.
