🏆 WHAT A SEASON 🏆
This weekend and I capped off the 2024 Michigan Team Championship Series with 19lbs on St Clair; good enough to lock up Team of the Year. At the beginning of the season, we set that goal for ourselves, but knew it’d be tough with this group we were competing against. It was a challenging season and lots of unique bites across the state (although mainly smallmouth fisheries).

- Hubbard Lake, was dominated using perspective mode to locate bedding fish and cruising pre/post spawners, where we finished 2nd place.
- Saginaw Bay, was locked to the river due to a small craft warning, and we junk fished our way using a swim jig and flipping bait to pull out a win on our home lake.
- Houghton Lake, we missed the main pattern and ended up catching our fish flipping a 3/4oz jig and Texas Rig, finishing middle of the pack.
- Finally, St. Clair. We were able to locate some shallow smallmouth that bit early on a topwater, giving us enough to round out the season with a 5th (?) place finish to seal the Team of the Year.

I wouldn’t have been able to compete with these other teams and do this without support from to give me the ability to practice and out in the work needed. Also huge shoutout to for being the title sponsor of the video series for this event. Finally to , , , , , and for equipping me and supporting me this season. These are brands that I’ve used and trusted every single event and could not have done any of this without their support, truly.

And to anyone with a goal, if you determine a goal for yourself and work hard with unrelenting dedication and effort, you can make it possible. This season personally was much needed. It showed me again that I can compete as well as achieve personal goals I set my mind to…but that’s a story for another post.

Anyways, thank you to all of my friends, family, and people who have sent words of encouragement and support. It means more than any of you realize

Largemouth are fun too 🎉
The OW Sniper and GLF Snack Craw has a finesse profile but is a bait I count on every single trip. It’s become my confidence technique and is a bait I turn to when I need a bite. If you’ve not tried this combo yet, you really need to give it a shot

What a day with ! Scrounged together just over 16lbs to pull off a win on the Sag Bay (river). It was more good decisions and executing on the opportunities we were presented with.

Got to catch them on big line today, swimming a jig and flipping to current breaks. Full breakdown coming soon

Sometimes you’re the hot hand and sometimes you’re the net man! held it down today and caught all 5 weigh in fish.

It was one of my most fun days of fishing in a long time. Good laughs, good decisions, and good timing helped us take 2nd! 🥈

This bait gets overlooked on Lake St. Clair and most anglers don't fish with this lure. A lipless crankbait is a bait you need to throw for spring bass, because it triggers reaction strikes from fish in dirty water.

This was one of the most insane days of smallmouth fishing ever, with my long-time friend, Ryan Collins! Lake St. Clair showed out and we caught a bunch of fish in shallow water!

They’re no masterpiece shots, but this big girl kicked off my ‘24 season off strong.

This big girl fell victim to a Deep Diving Jerkbait (super slow sinking) on the backside of a main lake point. Water temp was 40° and the fish was suspended off the break on an isolated patch of grass around big pods of bluegills. Falling water temps made the bite tough with fish suspending off of the breaks, but wind blown areas had slightly warmer temps. Working the bait aggressively got fishes’ attention and long pauses (15-30 seconds) allowed fish to slowly creep up to the bait before finally committing.
